Hello! I’m Chloe, your resident of the House Of Hare. I’m a graduate of an English Literature and Creative Writing joint honours, as well as an English Lit MA. I’m 22, based in Nottinghamshire, and a big fan of reading horror, nature, the gothic and classics!

Meet Your Editor!

A young woman with light brown hair and blue eyes taking a selfie indoors, wearing a white button-up shirt and gold earrings, with a bookshelf and plant in the background.

I enjoy photography and all things “Dark Academia”. I also am rather obsessed with mycology at the moment. Furthermore, I’m a big video game nerd! (My favourite games ever are Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Skyrim <3).

As a writer myself, I have a great love of literature; I have been writing little pieces of fiction for as long as I can remember! Mary Shelley and her little coterie inspires me most. Despite my preference in books being Victorian-era classics, I read all manner of genre and eras!

How House Of Hare Works

House Of Hare prides itself on being a friendly, open, and professional editing company intent on giving productive and engaged feedback and edits to all kinds of fiction, poetry, and (on occasion) non-fiction!

Not just your editor…

Here, I do not act wholly as your editor, but also as an unbiased reader. Alongside vocabulary, punctuation and grammar edits, I will comment on the themes, tone, narrative, and characters in order to give you a thorough glimpse into what a first-time reader may see in your work.

As a writer myself, I know how valuable it is to have an outside opinion (especially when you have been staring at the same paragraph for days on end!), and that is what I can bring. Like an analysis essay, I will go in depth about how your work made me feel, what metaphors and symbolism I clocked, and any interpretations I find (however intentional it is on your part!).

House Of Hare uses Google Docs for the editing process, and every edit can be accepted or refused depending on your decision! Furthermore, the whole process can be thoroughly discussed over Email or a Teams call; again, entirely up to you!
